Nowadays, we are so blessed to have abundant and diverse food supply. Eating healthily has attracted more and more concerns, since people always expect to be healthy and fit while enjoying tasty food. Accordingly, there are various so-called healthy/functional food on the market. Also from time to time, we are told by our family that something is good for our health, so we should eat more. Differentiating the myth and truth has become an increasingly inevitable question in our lives. Who can tell us what is the truth? Through this talk, the speaker will first introduce the fundamental knowledge in food science and technology, then share the methods on making a judgement and selection. The audience will obtain basic skills in evaluating their diet, healthy/function food and the genetically modified food. Ultimately, we wish everyone can eat healthily and smartly.
